"Pocket Parks" are Coming to Luoyang!

In recent days, if you pass the intersection of Zhongzhou Road and Longbei No. 1 Road, you will find that great changes have taken place there. The former scattered space along the old streets has been transformed into a pocket park in fashionable style and design.

The park has been built along the south side of Zhongzhou Road, Longbei No. 1 Road all the way to Chang'an Road, integrating elements of city hall, wavy seat, and flower pond. Eye-catching slogans of "Young people gather for the city, and city thrives on the youth" and "Hello, Jianxi"  showcase youthfulness and vitality on the whole, and merge with the surrounding Suzhou-style buildings.

The main color of the park is yellow symbolizing youthfulness and vitality. The core color integrates with landscape lighting, and green plants represented by gardenia and jasmine. Moreover, gear-shaped items and patterns show strong industrial style, which especially echos with the style of Jianxi District.

It’s learned that the eye-catching "pocket park" is part of the lighting and beautification project of Zhongzhou Road developed by Chang'an Road Subdistrict Office, Jianxi District (from Longbei No. 1 Road all the way to Chang'an Road). The project has leveraged the narrow space on the doorstep of citizens and integrated elements of "youth-friendly city" and "industrial style" in the construction of multiple "pocket parks". It not only provides convenience for citizens' leisure and entertainment, but also enhances the image of the city, highlighting the city's taste and humanistic care."
