Luoyang is one of the bright pearls of the Yellow River civilization nurtured by Heluo culture, the source and an important part of the Yellow River culture.

Museums such as Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital and Sui-Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum have contributed to building Luoyang into the "Museum Capital of the East" and become popular tourist attractions for tourists interested in exploring the Yellow River civilization. Cultural tourism IP products such as "Night Banquet at the Tang Palace", "The Wind in Luoyang" and "Longmen and Jingang" have gained popularity outside the city. Other immersive cultural tourism activities such as "Supreme Longmen" and "The first glance of Laojun Mountain" have also attracted many tourists to experience. The concept of "protecting cultural heritages, inheriting intangible cultural heritages and developing the tourism industry" has been well implemented in Heluo region.

Relying on the Yellow River Wetlands, Daimei Mountain, Qingyao Mountain, Wanshan Lake and other natural attractions, Luoyang is sparing no effort to launch several travel routes featuring the attractions along the Yellow River. The routes will connect Longma Futu Temple, Xiaolangdi Hydro Project and others, providing tourists in Luoyang with opportunities to, for example, discover the root of Chinese civilization, and learn about the water conservation and hydraulic engineering of the Yellow River. These unique travel routes featuring the Yellow River culture shall offer tourists more and more travel options.

Luoyang will continue to develop its cultural tourism industry, to provide its tourists with new immersive cultural tourism experiences.
