First Youth-friendly Commercial Street in Luoyang Opened

On the evening of September 24, the opening ceremony of Luoyang's first ever commercial street attracting and promoting consumption of the young consumers was held at Guangzhou Market Pedestrian Street in Jianxi District, Luoyang.

Drum performances, handicraft-making performances, street dances and other street shows mirror the passion and vitality of the young generation. Local food streets, tea shops, bars and talk show performances are also popular among young consumers. As night falls, Guangzhou Market Pedestrian Street starts getting crowded. Since its reopening in 2020 after renovation, the Street has improved its layout, optimized its business environment, created an online intelligent platform, and attracted first stores of numerous brands to settle along it. The Street has also been promoting innovation and integrating fashionable elements that are attractive to the young generation, thus becoming a popular landmark in Luoyang for young consumers to immerse themselves in cultural experience, consumption and entertainment. At present, this commercial street attracted 375 brands in total, of which 31 are the first stores in Henan Province and 43 are the first stores in Luoyang, topped other pedestrian streets in terms of the introduced brands and the composition of business formats in Henan Province.

The Action Plan for Building Luoyang a Youth-Friendly City proposes to create new landmarks appealing to the young generation, facilitate the establishment of a number of fashionable commercial streets, and venues that attract young consumers, and create new consumption formats providing personalized and diversified and high-quality consumption experiences.
