According to the statistics, museums in Luoyang received nearly 100,000 visitors during the three-day New Year holiday. Tickets for Luoyang Museum, Sui-Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum and the Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital were booked up earlier in this period.

On the New Year's Day, a concert featuring the xun (a globular wind instrument resembling) was held at the Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital as scheduled. It was broadcast live online and offline, bringing blessings of Chinese New Year to all visitors and attracting audience from all over China to watch it and interact with the performers and hosts enthusiastically online. As an ancient musical instrument, the xun has a history of about 7,000 years. The clay xun excavated from the Erlitou Site is of great significance to the study of ancient China's ritual and music culture.

During the New Year holiday, Sui-Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum launched a live broadcast program on its WeChat channel, with presentations at regular intervals to introduce the cultural connotations of the exhibits from different perspectives. In addition, "Yunbo Youth UP" ("Yunbo" is the Chinese acronym of Sui-Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum), a group of voluntary interpreters providing public service in the Museum, launched regular free interpreting services. Visitors spoke highly of these kinds of activities.

Moreover, in the digital halls of the Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital, Luoyang Museum, and Sui-Tang Grand Canal Culture Museum, visitors can get close to different dynasties in Chinese history to interact in an immersive way with the aid of digital technologies. The relevant person in charge of the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism of Luoyang introduced that the city's museums launch a variety of temporary exhibitions, social education and research activities during all holidays based on their rich historical and cultural resources. Last year, a total of more than 40 specialized temporary exhibitions and over 500 social education and research activities were organized. In the near future, museums in Luoyang will further promote the revitalization of cultural relics and the display of cultural heritage so that the "City of Museums of the East" can constantly become more influential.
