A Firework Show in Luoyang Lights up 2023 Lantern Festival
At 20:00 on February 5, a splendid music firework show kicked off at Tianjie Street (Yongtongmen Gate Section) in Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park, as part of the city's celebration of the Lantern Festival of 2023.
The firework show was themed "Fireworks Light up Lantern Festival in Energetic Luoyang" and was presented with drones and fireworks. A total of 500 drones were operated for eight minutes to present beautiful patterns under various themes like "Tracing the Origin of Spring Festival and Experiencing it in Luoyang".
The firework consisted of the following four sections, i.e., "Happy Lantern Festival in an Energetic Luoyang", "Tracing Origin of Chinese Civilization in Luoyang", "Riding Winds and Breaking Waves in a Striving Luoyang" and "Revitalizing in a Beautiful Luoyang". The show, which lasted for 30 minutes, offered an intensive number of fireworks characterized by creativeness, unique patterns, fine design, precise time control and other features in a lively way. The show not only adopted the firework products of traditional types and shapes but also introduced the ones with new patterns and colors.
Using the latest flower-shaped firework products in low, medium and high altitudes and adopting an innovatively immersive approach, the firework show integrated fireworks, music and on-site performance with the surroundings, and created an IMAX-like immersive viewing experience by presenting a spectacular art performance in the air.
The firework products used in this show varied in patterns and colors, including those giant pentagram- and peony-shaped ones with special light effects, the counting-down ones, the ones showing pre-set phrases, the ones resembling double-layer waterfalls, and other customized fireworks. Also lit were nearly 100 kinds of fireworks of various shapes, as well as high-altitude fireworks including the peony-shaped one of a variety of shapes and colors, with a maximum height of 480 meters, providing a wonderful audio-visual feast for both residents and tourists.
