A Resort in Luoyang Selected as a National Ski Resort of China

The list of the second batch of seven National Ski Resorts was recently released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the State General Administration of Sports of China, with Funiu Mountains Ski Resort in Luanchuan County, Luoyang being the only one in Henan Province. 

It is learned that a resort can be identified as a National Ski Resort only if it meets the following requirements: the resort concerned shall have good skiing and snow resources, be qualified for the development conditions of a ski resort, and serve as a resort and integrated service provider with skiing facilities as well as facilities and services that meet the needs related to recreational and leisure tourism.

Funiu Mountains Ski Resort is located in Yangshuping Village 18 kilometers to the west of the urban area of Luanchuan County in Luoyang, Henan Province. As an integrated vacation destination, the resort has a planning area of 21 square kilometers, offering services concerning outdoor winter skiing, all-season indoor skiing, sports training, competitions, etc. In recent years, Funiu Mountains Ski Resort has been vigorously advancing by following the pattern of "tourism plus sports" to achieve a high degree of integration between the tourism and sports industries.
