Two Museums in Luoyang Listed as National First-Grade Museums

On May 18, the fifth list of National First-Grade Museums was released by National Cultural Heritage Administration. Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs and Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital were on the list. So far, there are already 14 National First-Grade Museums in Henan Province, with Luoyang leading the province with three of these prestigious museums.
The evaluation and grading of museums are applied every three years. Multiple criteria are included to divide museums into three grades, with the first grade get the highest scores. To be identify as a National First-Grade Museum is a compliment for the cultural and museum development of a region or a city.
