Henan Great Heritage Sites Study Tour Theme Route Released with Multiple Places in Luoyang Selected

A few days ago, the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released three theme routes of Henan Great Heritage Sites Study Tour, and many sites in Luoyang were selected.

The Henan Great Sites Study Trip Theme Routes include three itineraries, namely "The Light of Civilisation - Exploring Ancient Marks," "The Origin of China - Pursuing the Splendour of Xia and Shang," and "The Splendor of Ancient Capitals - Through the Millennium". Among them, Erlitou National Archaeological Site Park and Yanshi Mall Ruins are selected as spots of the 'Origin of China and Summer - Pursuing the Splendour of Xia and Shang' route, while the site of the Imperial City of Luoyang in Hanwei, Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park, and Longmen Grottoes were selected as an 'Ancient Capitals Chapter - Through the Millennium' spot.

The Great Heritage Sites are non-renewable cultural heritage resources. In recent years, based on rich historical and cultural resources, Luoyang has explored the protection and utilization of the great sites in version 3.0, promoted the full use of sites for protection and display of such projects, and allowed traditional culture to enter into more consumer scenarios by giving priority to conservation and accelerating the integration of culture and tourism, thus forming a new 'Luoyang model' for the conservation and inheritance of cultural heritage in the new era.
