Luoyang's Museums and Cultural Venues Received Record High Number of Tourists During National Day Holiday

In the past National Day holiday, museums and cultural venues in Luoyang City received a total of 810,000 visitors, an increase by 24.6 percent over the same period last year at a record high.

Diversified cultural products enrich the "culture and museum menu". More than 30 online and offline exhibitions were launched by museums and cultural venues of Luoyang. The Luoyang Museum, Guanlin Scenic Resort, and the Commemorithion of the Office of the Eight Route Army of Luoyang launched special exhibitions such as "Fanyu Yudang - Peacock Feather and Gold Thread Embroidery Culture and Art Exhibition". The Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs unveiled a 720° virtual cloud showroom featuring "Zangzhi Daguan - Collection of Ancient Tombs in Luoyang". The Sui-Tang Dynasties Grand Canal Cultural Museum launched an immersive experience exhibition titled "Cosmic Conjecture" LBE, while the Erlitou Site Museum Of the Xia Capital launched the "Lunar Adventure", an LBE immersive experience exhibition.

The implementaion of "extended service" enhances the visitor experience. The Luoyang Museum, the Sui-Tang Dynasties Grand Canal Cultural Museum, the Luoyang Folk Museum, the Erlitou Site Museum Of the Xia Capital, and the Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs have introduced the "extended service" by moderately extending daily opening hours and increasing the number of available reservations.

Statistics show that during this year's National Day holiday, prominent museums such as the Luoyang Museum, the Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs, the Sui-Tang Dynasties Grand Canal Cultural Museum, the Erlitou Site Museum of the Xia Capital attracted more than 70 percent of the total number of tourists from outside the province.
