Shaolin Kung Fu and Weipo, Luoyang Go Viral! Check out Seven Amazing Ancient Villages
Recently, Henan TV aired the "Adventures on Double Ninth Festival 2024". Among the episodes, 'Kung Fu' was filmed in the Weipo Ancient Village in Luoyang. Surrounded by mountains on all sides and located where six rivers converged, Luoyang boasts numerous ancient villages around it, with each one offering unique charm and surprises.
Weipo Village in Chaoyang Town, Mengjin District, integrates a unique architectural style that blends both ancient and modern elements. Its half-rural, half-fashionable atmosphere and artistic commercial establishments attract numerous tourists. Wangping Village in the Chongdu Village Demonstration Zone, Luanchuan County, exudes an ancient charm with its elegant grey-tiled roofs and white walls complemented by wooden carved windows. Nearby the village sit two 4A-level scenic spots: the Bamboo Sea Wild Animal Park and the Chongdu Gou. In the same county, Xiexin Village of Taowan Town offers a wide range of leisure and entertainment options, making it a popular rural destination for tourists. Tianqiaogou Village of Checun Town, Song County, located at the foot of the Baiyun Mountain, a 5A-level scenic spot, is ideal for health and leisure.
In Longwang Village of Song County's Checun Town sits a Dragon King Gallery with various functional areas for exhibition, creation, and more. Many villagers bring their children here to appreciate art. Siposhan Village in Shijing Town, Xin'an County, is a village nestled among the mountains. It borders the Longtan Vally and Jingzi Xianshan to the north, the Qingyao Mountai to the south, and not far from the Daimei Mountain Scenic Area to the west. Three kilometers to the east is the Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Scenic Area on Yellow River. Luanchuan County's Miaozi Town Zhuangzi Village is adjacent to the Longyuwan Scenic Area where the red leaf viewing season has officially begun recently.
