'Nostalgia of Frost and Dew' Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Held in Luoyang
On October 25, the 'Nostalgia of Frost and Dew' Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition kicked off in the Luoyang Heluo Experimental Zone for Cultural Ecology Protection.
The event was divided into three chapters including the Intangible Cultural Heritage Series, the Hanfu Series, and the Peony-decorated Modern Cheongsam Series, showcasing a variety of clothing with intangible cultural heritage techniques, clothing in styles of Wei and Jin dynasties, as well as related intangible cultural heritage artifacts and products based on cultural heritage items such as paper-cutting, coarse cloth printing and dyeing, natural plant dyeing, sachet-making techniques, necklace of jade and pearls, bead embroidery, seed stitch embroidery, and pearl weaving.
The nation-leveled Heluo Experimental Zone for Cultural Ecology Protection, approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in June 2020, is centered around protecting intangible cultural heritages of the Heluo region and aims to provide comprehensive protection to the well-preserved, valuable, and distinctive cultural forms that bear rich culture and history of the region. Since its establishment, the experimental zone has adhered to the principle of "Conservation, Inheritance, Integrity, and Innovation", supporting intangible cultural heritage workshops and brands to integrate intangible cultural heritage into modern life.
