Several Sites in Luoyang Selected for 'Grand Canal Autumn Scenery' Themed Tourism Routes

The launch ceremony for the "Harvest on the Central Plains: My Hometown, Henan－Grand Canal Autumn Scenery" themed tourism promotion event was recently held in Anyang, Henan Province. At the event, a variety of themed tourism routes were introduced, with several sites in Luoyang prominently selected.

The themed tourism routes include four distinct itineraries: the "Watery Charms of Ancient Canal Towns" route, the "Grain Storage Sites along the Grand Canal" route, the "Craftsmanship of Canal Intangible Heritage" route, and the "Culinary Tour for Flavors of the Grand Canal". Several Luoyang sites were selected for inclusion:

• The Sui-Tang Grand Canal Cultural Museum, Sui-Tang Grand Canal National Cultural Park, and Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park are part of the "Watery Charms of Ancient Canal Towns" route.
• The Huiluo Warehouse Site and Hanjia Warehouse Site are included in the "Grain Storage Sites along the Grand Canal" route..
• Tang Sancai (tricolored glazed pottery in the Tang Dynasty) and Mengjin Paper-Cutting are featured in the "Craftsmanship of Canal Intangible Heritage" route.
• Beef Soup and Jiang Mian Tiao (a type of traditional noodle dish) are highlights of the "Culinary Tour for Flavors of the Grand Canal"..

This event, organized by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with several other institutions, aims to showcase the rich historical and cultural heritage and natural scenery along the Henan section of the Grand Canal. It also seeks to promote high-quality tourism products centered on canal culture, further enhancing the autumn tourism offerings and expanding the diversity of cultural experiences available to visitors.
