On the evening of February 6, local time, the "Our Spring Festival" Chinese New Year celebration event was held at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris, France. Dancers from Luoyang Song and Dance Theatre were invited to perform the dance "Guardian Warriors of Longmen" on site, offering the audience an immersive experience into the charm of China's excellent traditional culture.
The "Our Spring Festival" Chinese New Year celebration event was jointly organized by the Permanent Delegation of China to UNESCO and Henan TV, aiming to showcase the profound heritage and unique charm of Chinese culture. This is the first Chinese New Year celebration held at UNESCO after the successful inscription of the Spring Festival to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
According to the Luoyang Song and Dance Theatre, "Guardian Warriors of Longmen" is an excellent dance program of the Luoyang Song and Dance Theatre. The dancers' costumes and movements are vivid and dynamic, drawing inspiration from the stone carvings of the Longmen Grottoes.
In recent years, Guardian Warriors of Longmen went viral and has become an icon of Luoyang culture. In January this year, the "Happy Spring Festival" (Singapore) and the Spring Festival Gala themed "Martial Arts and Dance, Feeling the Vibes of Central Plains" were held in Singapore, where "Guardian Warriors of Longmen" and other dance performances made a stunning appearance, bringing a wonderful audio-visual feast to the audience.
